Born in Newmarket in Q4-1919 [Newmarket 3b:842] Son of James Alexander and Sarah Anderton (née COOPER) of Stamford Street, Newmarket.

In the 1939 register, at 21 Stamford Street,Newmarket,were his father James A [15-10-1889] a barman; mother Sarah [3-7-1890]; brothers David A [30-12-1915] officer's civilian batman, Bernard P [11-12-1924] a grocery assistant, Peter A [19-7-1926] a scholar and Gilbert E [19-9-1927 a scholar. Terry lived in West London and was the nephew of Percy Ronald ANDERTON who was killed in WW1.. see here
